PE Teacher – Secondary Schools in Barnstaple & North Devon

About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic PE teachers to support secondary schools across Barnstaple and North Devon from September. The role can be full‑time, part‑time or supply work, offering a variety of temporary assignments with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons for secondary pupils.
- Promote confidence, fitness and a lifelong love of activity.
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe learning environment.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching PE at secondary level.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Valid enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training.
