PE Teacher – Temporary Cover in South East England

About the role

Reed Education is seeking enthusiastic PE Specialists to provide short‑term and long‑term cover in secondary schools across West and East Sussex. The role is suitable for qualified teachers, experienced coaches, or individuals looking to gain classroom experience before training.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging physical education lessons in line with each school’s curriculum.
• Support behaviour management and uphold the school’s behaviour policy.
• Adapt teaching approaches to suit different year groups and ability levels.
• Collaborate with school staff and provide feedback on student progress.

Required profile

• Right to work in the UK and a DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Experience working with young people in a school‑like setting (desirable).
• Positive attitude, flexibility and ability to work at least three days a week.
• Driving licence is desirable but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Strong classroom management techniques.
• Effective communication with students and staff.
