PE Teacher – Temporary & Flexible Roles in Taunton

About the role

We are partnering with schools across Taunton and Somerset to recruit Physical Education (PE) teachers for September starts. The role is temporary, with the possibility of becoming permanent, and offers a range of employment types including supply work and long‑term contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons for students of all abilities.
• Support and lead extracurricular sports activities and clubs.
• Promote confidence, resilience and teamwork through sport.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Collaborate with senior staff to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Qualified PE teacher with QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong classroom practice and the ability to motivate diverse learners.
• Enthusiasm for sport and education.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and a valid enhanced DBS check.
