PE Teacher – Temporary Full‑Time Cover

About the role

Reed Education is seeking enthusiastic PE Specialists to provide short‑ and long‑term cover in secondary schools across West and East Sussex for the upcoming academic year. The role is suitable for qualified teachers, experienced coaches, or individuals looking to gain classroom experience before formal teacher training.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum‑aligned physical education lessons to secondary school students.
• Provide flexible cover ranging from a few days to several weeks, based on school needs.
• Adapt activities for mixed‑ability groups and support the school’s behaviour policy.

Required profile

• Right to work in the UK and willingness to obtain a DBS on the update service.
• Experience working with students in a school or sports‑coaching setting (preferred).
• Positive, flexible attitude with availability of at least three days per week.
• Driver’s licence is desirable but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Strong behaviour management techniques aligned with school policies.
