PE Teacher – Temporary Full‑Time Positions in Sussex

About the role

Reed Education is seeking enthusiastic PE Specialists to provide cover in secondary schools across West and East Sussex. The role can suit qualified teachers, experienced coaches, or individuals looking to gain classroom experience before formal teacher training.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality physical education lessons in line with each school’s curriculum.
• Provide short‑term or long‑term cover as required by the school.
• Support schools with behaviour management and promote a positive learning environment.
• Adapt lesson plans to suit different year groups and ability levels.

Required profile

• Right to work in the UK and a DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Experience working with young people in a school‑like setting (teaching experience is desirable but not mandatory).
• Strong communication and positive behaviour‑management techniques.
• Flexible, reliable attitude and ability to work at least three days per week.
• Driving licence is advantageous for travel between schools.
