PE Teacher – Temporary Full‑Time Roles in Worthing

About the role

Reed Education is seeking enthusiastic Physical Education (PE) teachers and experienced coaches to provide cover in secondary schools across West and East Sussex. The role can be short‑term or long‑term, offering the chance to work in a variety of school environments while gaining valuable classroom experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging PE lessons in line with each school’s curriculum and behaviour policy.
• Provide reliable cover for qualified teachers or support unqualified coaches looking to gain classroom experience.
• Adapt lesson plans to suit different year groups and ability levels.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Right to work in the UK and willingness to obtain a DBS check (or already on the update service).
• Previous experience working with students in a school or similar setting (desirable).
• Strong, positive behaviour management techniques.
• Good communication skills and confidence to work with new groups of students daily.
• Flexible and positive attitude, with availability for a minimum of three days per week.
