Pension Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a Pension Consultant to join a specialist firm in the South East. The role involves delivering consultancy, secretarial and governance services to a diverse portfolio of pension scheme clients, while supporting internal initiatives and specialist focus groups.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultancy, secretariat and governance services to a portfolio of pension scheme clients.
• Organise trustee and ad‑hoc client meetings, preparing agendas, meeting packs, reports and presentations.
• Draft meeting minutes, document actions and decisions, and maintain scheme governance documentation and policies.
• Support trustee boards in meeting Effective System of Governance (ESOG) requirements and maintain Client Hub services.
• Manage and support a variety of client and internal projects, ensuring delivery within agreed deadlines and maintaining project plans.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Strong working knowledge of day‑to‑day pension scheme management.
• Experience delivering pension scheme client services.
• Background in client‑facing relationship management or secretarial roles.
• Understanding of pension scheme governance requirements.
