Pension De‑Risking Project Lead

About the role

This position is for an experienced professional to lead de‑risking projects for defined benefit pension schemes within a global financial services organisation. You will act as the primary contact for high‑profile client projects, supporting the client director and ensuring successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage de‑risking client relationships for high‑profile and escalated projects.
• Assess and mitigate risks in pension scheme data that could affect project delivery.
• Review processes continuously and propose improvements to the De‑risking Operational Director.
• Identify budget risks, escalate promptly and recommend remedial actions.
• Lead project tasks to meet agreed timelines, quality standards and budgets.
• Coordinate project kick‑off and review meetings with client directors.
• Develop flexible communication methods for client reporting.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge and experience of defined benefit / defined contribution pensions.
• Proven experience leading client‑facing projects.
• Ability to develop and implement process improvements.
• Analytical mindset with problem‑solving capability.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of DB/DC pension schemes.
• Project management and risk assessment expertise.
