Pensions Administrator – Defined Benefit

About the role

Our client, an award‑winning pension consultancy, is looking for an experienced Pensions Administrator to join their Defined Benefit team in Newcastle upon Tyne. The role will support the Administration Manager by prioritising daily workload and ensuring smooth operation of the team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide an effective pension administration service to all clients.
• Deliver client work within agreed SLAs and deadlines.
• Perform manual pension calculations and support less experienced colleagues.
• Act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients.
• Assist with annual projects such as renewals, benefit statements and pension increases.
• Contribute input on process and procedural improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 months of technical experience in Defined Benefit pension administration, either in‑house or at a third‑party provider.
• Strong numeracy, communication and organisational abilities.
