Pensions Quality Assurance Analyst

About the role

This position offers an experienced Defined Benefit Pensions professional the chance to lead independent, risk‑based assurance across a wide range of pension administration activities. You will work closely with administration, technical and data teams to uphold the highest standards of quality, accuracy, compliance and member outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quality assurance reviews of Defined Benefit pensions administration processes.
• Review calculations, member records, controls and overall administration work.
• Provide oversight on complex cases, remediation projects and new business implementations.
• Identify trends, root causes and systemic risks through detailed analysis.
• Produce clear reports with practical recommendations for improvement.
• Support data‑quality initiatives and regulatory change projects.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed best practice.
• Contribute to governance, compliance and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong experience in Defined Benefit pensions administration.
• Excellent technical knowledge of pension scheme rules, benefit structures and administration processes.
• Previous experience in quality assurance, audit, compliance, technical review or oversight functions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to provide constructive challenge while maintaining strong working relationships.
• Passion for improving quality, reducing risk and delivering excellent member outcomes.
