Pensions Service Delivery Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Pensions Service Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of defined benefit pension administration services for a portfolio of public sector schemes. Based in Middlesbrough, the role operates within a flexible hybrid working model and reports to the Operations Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Operations Manager in overseeing pension administration service delivery across public sector schemes.
• Lead, mentor and develop the administration manager and wider team members.
• Contribute to commercial activities such as tender responses, billing and profitability analysis.
• Deliver client‑facing projects and manage relationships with scheme trustees.
• Support strategic change initiatives, including process optimisation and system improvements.

Required profile

• Proven background in defined benefit pensions administration with a strong record of service delivery.
• In‑depth knowledge of pension regulations and technical requirements.
• Demonstrated people‑management experience, including performance management and recruitment.
• Ability to lead, motivate and inspire teams.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving capabilities.
