People Advisor (Change)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced People Advisor to join a growing, community‑focused organisation during a six‑month period of change and transformation. The role will focus on supporting restructuring, consultation and redundancy processes, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of organisational change and restructuring initiatives.
• Coordinate and take part in employee consultation meetings.
• Provide advice and guidance to managers throughout change programmes.
• Assist with redundancy processes, including documentation and communications.
• Draft, review and update job descriptions as part of organisational design.
• Partner with stakeholders to manage change activities effectively.
• Ensure compliance with employment law and internal policies.
• Prepare change‑management documentation, reports and employee communications.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an HR Advisor or similar generalist role.
• Strong background in supporting organisational change, restructures and consultation.
• Good knowledge of redundancy procedures and relevant employment legislation.
• Ability to provide pragmatic HR advice across a range of people matters.
• Confidence influencing stakeholders at various levels.
• Excellent communication, organisational and relationship‑building skills.
• CIPD qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
