People and Culture Generalist

About the role

Playtech’s People & Culture team is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Generalist to manage the employee lifecycle and support a range of HR initiatives across the UK and Gibraltar.

Key responsibilities

• Manage onboarding, off‑boarding, employment contracts, immigration processes, and probation administration.
• Partner with managers and employees on employee‑relations matters, including disciplinary cases, grievances, absence management, performance concerns and conflict resolution.
• Support performance and talent management by guiding managers on objectives, development plans, probation reviews and employee development.
• Prepare documentation for investigations, disciplinaries, restructures and other people‑related activities.
• Contribute to HR audits, maintain employee data, ensure compliance with UK employment legislation, GDPR and company policies.
• Drive employee engagement and culture through wellbeing, DEIB initiatives, awareness campaigns and cultural events.
• Collaborate with the Senior People & Culture Director on strategic initiatives and continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Experience in a People & Culture or HR Generalist role.
• Proven track record managing employee‑relations matters from advice to resolution.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
• Experience supporting performance management and talent development processes.
