People Business Partner

About the role

We are seeking an experienced People Business Partner to join Vermelo RPO on a hybrid basis, supporting senior leaders in Manchester or Peterborough. The role will act as a trusted advisor, driving performance, engagement and business outcomes in a fast‑paced operational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to develop and deliver people plans aligned to business objectives.
• Provide expert people advice, coaching, and challenge to drive performance and accountability.
• Use people data and insights to identify trends and recommend solutions.
• Support key people processes including performance, talent, succession, engagement, and reward.
• Lead and support organisational change, restructures, and consultation activity.
• Develop strategies to attract, retain, and develop talent.
• Collaborate with the wider People team to deliver business‑focused people initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policy, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Resilient and credible People professional with confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
• Proven experience as a People Partner or HR Business Partner.
• Strong stakeholder management, coaching, and influencing skills.
• Experience developing and delivering people plans.
• Strong employee relations and UK employment law knowledge.
• Experience leading organisational change and consultation activity.
• Ability to interpret people data and turn insights into action.
• Commercially minded with a focus on delivering business outcomes.
• Able to work at pace and manage multiple priorities effectively.
