People & Culture Advisor (HR Generalist)

About the role
We are looking for a proactive People & Culture Advisor to join our growing HR team in West London. You will work across the full employee life‑cycle, supporting managers and employees while helping to build a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for HR advice, coaching managers and employees on a wide range of people‑related matters.
- Lead employee‑relations cases from start to finish, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, capability and flexible‑working issues.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, probation, development, benefits administration and off‑boarding processes.
- Partner with hiring managers to coordinate recruitment activities, prepare offers and contracts, and complete pre‑employment checks.
- Review, update and improve HR policies, procedures and processes to ensure legal compliance and operational excellence.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR systems and reporting, using people data to identify trends.
- Provide employee data for payroll administration and liaise with Finance to meet deadlines.
- Coordinate learning and development initiatives, maintain training records and deliver workshops as needed.
- Support employee engagement, wellbeing and DEIBA initiatives to foster an inclusive culture.
- Contribute to People & Culture projects, system improvements and change initiatives.
Required profile
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards it).
- 3‑4 years experience as a generalist HR Advisor.
- Strong employee‑relations knowledge with confidence managing cases independently.
- Good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency in HR policies and procedures.
- Experience with HR information systems and data reporting.
- Ability to manage payroll‑related data and liaise with finance teams.
What we offer
- Competitive salary £40,000‑£50,000 per year.
- Hybrid working model – 3 days in the office, 2 days remote after a 6‑month probation.
- Location in Park Royal/Acton, West London.
