People Manager – Hybrid (4 days onsite)

About the role

We are partnering with a values‑led third‑sector organisation to hire a People Manager who will work closely with operational teams. This is a hands‑on, hybrid role (four days onsite) that blends day‑to‑day HR delivery with strategic people initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and support managers on employee relations matters such as disciplinaries, investigations, absence and performance.
• Quality‑assure people processes to ensure compliance and consistency across multiple sites.
• Build trusted relationships with managers and operational teams as an approachable People partner.
• Lead change‑management and service‑improvement projects.
• Design and deliver manager training to raise people‑management capability.
• Translate employee feedback into actions that improve culture, retention and absence.
• Support learning and development initiatives across the organisation.

Required profile

• Experience at HR Business Partner, HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor level.
• Proven ability to manage complex employee‑relations cases independently.
• Strong coaching skills with a focus on developing manager capability.
• Comfortable operating in a visible, fast‑paced operational environment.
