People Operations Manager

About the role

We are looking for a People Operations Manager to join a leading hospitality brand in London. This hybrid role (three days in the office) will sit at the heart of the People function, driving operational excellence and shaping the employee experience across a large, multi‑site workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve core people operations processes such as contracts, onboarding, payroll inputs, employee changes and off‑boarding.
• Maintain accurate, compliant employee data and HR system documentation.
• Serve as the first point of contact for managers and employees on day‑to‑day HR queries and routine employee‑relations matters.
• Support absence management, disciplinaries, grievances, probation and performance processes.
• Partner with payroll, recruitment, operations and the wider People team to ensure a seamless employee experience.
• Drive continuous improvement across people processes, systems, compliance and reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in People Operations, HR Operations, HR Advisor or HR Manager roles.
• Background in hospitality, retail, leisure, consumer brands, logistics or other multi‑site, customer‑facing businesses.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and confidence handling routine employee‑relations matters.
• Demonstrated ability to manage onboarding, contracts, payroll support, employee records, compliance and HR systems.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
