People Partner / HR Business Partner

About the role

Willmott Dixon is seeking a full‑time People Partner to support its Wales & West region. Working from Cardiff (or Bristol) on a hybrid basis, you will translate people strategy into day‑to‑day impact, helping managers embed consistent HR practices and build high‑performance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with managers and leaders to deliver high‑quality, consistent people support aligned to business priorities.
• Support the five key people experiences: attract (recruitment), welcome (on‑boarding), perform (attendance, wellbeing, performance management), grow (development plans, learning), and goodbye (exits).
• Deliver pragmatic, commercially‑focused HR operations across the employee lifecycle.
• Provide advice on employee relations cases and contribute to engagement, wellbeing and inclusion initiatives.
• Travel occasionally to regional offices or sites to support local teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience partnering with managers and senior leaders on HR matters.
• Strong operational HR background covering the full employee lifecycle.
• Commercially focused mindset with the ability to influence and build credibility.
• Excellent coaching and advisory skills for performance, attendance and wellbeing.
