People & Training Lead

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing organisation in Newcastle upon Tyne to find a People & Training Lead. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will shape and deliver the people and learning strategy as the business expands through organic growth and acquisitions.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the organisation’s People and Training strategy and act as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, induction and probation processes.
• Drive performance management, employee development and learning initiatives.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with employment legislation.
• Assist with organisational change, acquisitions, employee integration and communications.
• Analyse people data and provide insights to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a generalist HR or People role, with exposure to learning and development.
• Experience supporting organisational change, acquisitions, TUPE or integration activities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong organisational and administrative capabilities.
• CIPD Level 3 or equivalent practical experience.
