Performing Arts Lecturer – FE Teaching Role

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Performing Arts Lecturers to deliver high‑quality teaching across a range of Further Education providers in Liverpool. This role offers the chance to shape the creative and professional development of learners pursuing careers in the performing arts and related industries.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Performing Arts lessons for diverse learner groups.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress in line with college standards.
• Provide constructive feedback and academic support to help learners achieve their goals.
• Create an inclusive, positive learning environment that encourages creativity and confidence.
• Support the development of practical performance, rehearsal and production skills.
• Contribute to learner retention, achievement and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Performing Arts, Theatre, Drama, Acting, Musical Theatre, Dance or a related field.
• Teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Performing Arts in Further Education, Higher Education, Secondary Education or adult learning settings.
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
