Performing Arts Lecturer – Flexible Teaching Opportunities

About the role

We are recruiting experienced and enthusiastic Performing Arts Lecturers to work with a range of well‑established Further Education providers in North London. You will deliver engaging lessons that develop learners’ practical performance skills, creativity, confidence and industry knowledge, helping them achieve both academic and professional goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality Performing Arts lessons across a range of levels.
• Teach programmes in theatre, drama, acting, musical theatre, dance or related subjects.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Support learners in developing practical performance, rehearsal and production skills.
• Contribute to learner achievement, retention and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Performing Arts, Theatre, Drama, Acting, Musical Theatre, Dance or a related field.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Performing Arts in Further Education, Higher Education, secondary or adult learning environments.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
• Passion for performing arts education; industry experience is desirable.
