Performing Arts Lecturer

About the role

We are recruiting experienced and enthusiastic Performing Arts Lecturers to deliver high‑quality lessons for a range of further‑education providers. You will help learners develop practical performance skills, creativity, confidence and industry knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Performing Arts lessons.
• Teach programmes across a variety of levels and abilities.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress.
• Provide constructive feedback and academic support.
• Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Support learners in developing rehearsal, production and performance skills.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Performing Arts, Theatre, Drama, Acting, Musical Theatre, Dance or a related subject.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent).
• Experience teaching in Further Education, Higher Education, Secondary or Adult Learning environments.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
