Peripatetic Chef

About the role

Glenholme Senior Living is seeking an experienced Peripatetic Chef to provide high‑quality catering across its care homes in Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire. You will travel between sites, covering staff absences, holidays and special events while ensuring residents receive nutritious, enjoyable meals.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to multiple Glenholme locations according to operational needs.
• Provide chef cover during leave, sickness, vacancies and events.
• Plan, prepare, cook and present balanced meals that meet dietary, cultural and personal preferences.
• Supervise and support kitchen staff, maintaining food hygiene and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Maintain accurate temperature, stock and kitchen records; manage ordering and waste.
• Support audits, inspections and quality monitoring to uphold Glenholme standards.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
• Experience in senior‑living or care‑home catering.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition, dietary requirements and menu planning.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different kitchens and teams.
