Permanent Children’s Social Worker positions in Warwickshire

About the role

Vitalis is recruiting permanent Children’s Social Workers for Warwickshire County Council. You will join the Families First team, delivering high‑quality support to children and families across the authority while managing complex caseloads.

Key responsibilities

• Manage statutory responsibilities for children on Child Protection Plans, Looked‑After Children and Children in Need.
• Conduct detailed assessments of need and risk and develop outcome‑focused support plans.
• Identify, source and regularly review services to meet vulnerable families’ needs.
• Participate in the duty system, conduct child protection investigations and attend strategy meetings, legal proceedings and conferences.
• Prepare court reports, statutory reviews and comprehensive child protection documentation.

Required profile

• Qualified Social Work degree, DipSW or CQSW.
• Completion of the Assisted Year of Learning (ASYE).
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Full UK driving licence, DBS clearance and right to work in the UK.

Required skills

• Excellent communication for working with vulnerable individuals.
• Strong ability to assess complex needs and risks.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of current legislation and social work practice.

What we offer

• Basic salary £40,777 – £41,771 per annum plus a £3,500 market supplement.
