Permanent Humanities Teacher

About the role

A fantastic secondary school in Waltham Forest is seeking a passionate Humanities Teacher on a permanent basis from September 2026. The role welcomes specialists in History, Geography, Religious Studies, or a combination of these subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Humanities (History, Geography, Religious Studies) to Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop critical thinking and curiosity.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and record outcomes.
• Collaborate with the Humanities department on planning, resource sharing, and curriculum development.
• Participate in whole‑school initiatives and extracurricular activities as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
• Proven experience teaching Humanities in a secondary setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for History, Geography or Religious Studies.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
• Commitment to helping every learner achieve their full potential.
