Personal Assistant to Head Teacher & Clerk to Governors

About the role

We are looking for a highly organised Personal Assistant to support the Head Teacher and act as Clerk to the Governors in a dynamic South‑West London school. The role starts in September with immediate interviews and runs until the Easter break.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Head Teacher, including diary management, correspondence and document handling.
• Serve as Clerk to the Governors – prepare meeting packs, take accurate minutes and maintain governance records.
• Coordinate with teaching and support departments to ensure smooth school operations.
• Handle confidential information with discretion.
• Attend occasional evening meetings for minute‑taking.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a PA, with a strong track record of minute‑taking.
• Ideally holds a DBS check on the update service.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with educational administration systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
