Personal Assistant to Headteacher (Crawley)

About the role
The school in Crawley is looking for a dedicated Personal Assistant to support the Headteacher. This full‑time, term‑time position involves a mix of administrative, governance and front‑office duties, ensuring smooth daily operations and compliance with statutory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Governing Board, organise meetings, take minutes and maintain governance records.
- Assist the Headteacher with document preparation, filing, correspondence and general clerical tasks.
- Manage the reception area, greet visitors and handle enquiries professionally.
- Maintain school information systems such as BROMCOM MIS, ensuring accurate and confidential pupil records.
- Support pupil welfare by updating medical records and assisting with first‑aid processes.
- Help coordinate school trips, events and other operational activities.
Required profile
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to prioritise under pressure.
- Professional discretion and a commitment to confidentiality.
- Team‑player who can also work independently.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and OneDrive.
- Experience using BROMCOM MIS or similar school management information systems.
