Personal Lines Account Handler

About the role

Join an established independent insurance brokerage in Bolton as a Personal Lines Account Handler. You will manage a portfolio of home, motor and travel insurance clients, delivering tailored solutions and building long‑term relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a personal lines client portfolio throughout the policy lifecycle.
• Process new business enquiries, renewals and mid‑term adjustments accurately.
• Provide advice and quotations across home, motor and travel products.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and insurers.
• Keep documentation and internal systems up to date.
• Identify cross‑sell and up‑sell opportunities where appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and internal procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a personal lines insurance environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Customer‑focused approach and commitment to high service standards.
• Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
• Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
