Personal Tax Manager

About the role

Halliday Marx is seeking a Personal Tax Manager to join an international accounting firm on a permanent basis. The role involves managing a complex portfolio of personal tax clients and delivering high‑quality advisory and compliance services.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of assignments and manage a complex personal tax portfolio.
• Provide technical support across income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and residence issues.
• Manage compliance matters, client queries and ensure timely payments.
• Deliver consultancy and advisory projects, including joint work with the Corporate Tax team.
• Assist with EIS/SEIS, EMI and employment‑related securities compliance and prepare year‑end documentation such as P11Ds.
• Prepare complex annual tax returns and ensure compliance with current tax legislation.
• Maintain regular client contact and correspond with tax authorities and third parties.
• Supervise and develop junior staff and act as point of contact for internal tax queries.
• Conduct technical tax research as required.

Required profile

• CTA qualified.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in personal tax within a practice.
