Personal Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Personal Tax Manager to join a niche accountancy practice in Central London. The firm specialises in high‑profile clients from media, entertainment, art, theatre, sport and film & TV sectors. Reporting directly to the owner, you will balance compliance work with advisory services for a diverse portfolio of high‑net‑worth individuals and businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring timely and accurate tax returns.
• Lead and develop a small team, reviewing work and providing guidance.
• Liaise with clients and HMRC on compliance and advisory matters.
• Prepare statutory accounts where required.
• Contribute to ad‑hoc projects and business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Current Personal Tax Manager or Senior/Supervisor ready to step up to manager grade.
• Strong background in personal tax compliance and advisory.
• Interest in serving clients from media, entertainment, art, sport, film and TV.
• Excellent communication, self‑starter attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• ATT and/or CTA qualification preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CCH tax software.
