Personal Tax Manager – Private Client Advisory

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Personal Tax Manager to join our professional services firm. You will work on a broad range of complex tax matters for private clients, including individuals, business owners, agricultural clients, trusts, and partnerships. The role is based in Yeovil with the option to work from Exeter or Chippenham on a hybrid model.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, trusts, and succession planning.
• Support the delivery of tax advisory projects and collaborate with compliance teams.
• Liaise confidently with clients, HMRC, and professional advisers.
• Provide input on remuneration strategies and benefits in kind.
• Stay up to date with tax legislation and technical developments.
• Review junior team members' work and support their development.
• Identify opportunities across teams to add value for clients.

Required profile

• ATT or CTA qualified (or part‑qualified) with strong experience in capital gains tax and inheritance tax planning.
• Knowledge of trusts and complex compliance work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and organisational abilities.
• Experience preparing advisory reports and handling technical queries.
