Personal Tax Senior

About the role

An established independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Reading is expanding its private client team and seeks a Personal Tax Senior. You will join a friendly, close‑knit practice that delivers reliable compliance services and personalised tax advice to high‑net‑worth individuals, business owners and company directors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage personal tax returns and compliance work from start to finish.
• Provide tailored tax advice and planning solutions for private clients.
• Participate in ad‑hoc project work and client development activities.
• Assist in mentoring and supporting junior staff members.

Required profile

• Qualified ATT, ACA, ACCA or CTA.
• Solid experience in personal tax within a practice environment.
• Background in an independent, boutique or mid‑sized firm preferred.
• Ability to manage compliance work with minimal supervision.
• Enthusiastic about private client tax and committed to long‑term development.

Required skills

What we offer

• Salary £40,000 – £48,000 per year, dependent on experience and qualifications.
