Personal Tax Senior – Reading (RG1)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Personal Tax Senior to join our friendly tax team in central Reading. You will manage a portfolio of self‑assessment clients, including individuals, partnerships and trusts, while working in a supportive, well‑established practice.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare annual personal tax returns for individuals, partnerships and trusts.
• Manage budgets, billing and client invoicing.
• Advise clients on Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and estate planning.
• Prepare P11Ds, PSAs, ATEDs and other required tax forms.
• Supervise and mentor junior tax staff.
• Support client onboarding and attend meetings with prospective clients.
• Assist with workflow planning and departmental scheduling.

Required profile

• Prior experience working in an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of UK personal tax legislation.
• Ability to work independently and manage a client portfolio with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail, time‑management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with tax software (Digita).
