PGCE Graduate Secondary Teacher (All Subjects)

About the role
We are looking for motivated PGCE graduates who are ready to start their teaching career in secondary schools across Tameside, Gorton and Denton. The role welcomes applicants from any subject specialism, offering full support through the Early Career Teacher (ECT) induction programme to develop confident, inspiring classroom practice.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 where applicable).
- Assess, record and monitor student progress.
- Foster a positive, inclusive and motivating classroom environment.
- Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development.
- Participate in whole‑school activities, parents’ evenings and pastoral duties.
Required profile
- PGCE qualification with QTS achieved or pending.
- Strong subject knowledge in your specialist area.
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Passion for teaching and inspiring young people.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
