Pharmacy Dispenser – Customer‑Focused Role in London

About the role

As a Dispenser you will join the pharmacy team in a UK store, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe and efficient pharmacy services. You will build relationships with patients, help them understand their medicines and contribute to a high‑quality health‑care experience every day.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions safely, including ordering, labelling, endorsing and collecting medicines.
• Assist other healthcare staff in managing and delivering pharmacy services.
• Provide advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the pharmacist when needed.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure legal and safe dispensing.
• Support patients with repeat prescriptions, medication adherence and waste reduction.
• Use evolving store technologies and new systems to improve dispensing processes.
• Participate in regular training to develop healthcare knowledge and career pathways.

Required profile

• Completed Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or first year of an MPharm programme.
• Current, valid UK right to work (no visa sponsorship available).
• Preferably experience in a community pharmacy setting.

Required skills

• Prescription dispensing knowledge.
• Understanding of pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients about medication.
