Pharmacy Support Worker – Rotational (NHS)

About the role

The NHS Golden Jubilee University National Hospital is seeking a motivated Pharmacy Support Worker to join its Pharmacy Team. In this rotational position you will manage the supply of medicines on wards and within the automated drug cabinet, ensuring safe and timely medication delivery for patients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage medicine stock and distribution on hospital wards.
• Operate and maintain the automated drug cabinet.
• Rotate between ward‑based medicines management, dispensary, and central distribution services.
• Support an efficient, patient‑focused pharmacy service and adhere to safety standards.
• Work a full week schedule (5/7) and cover public holidays on a rota.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a pharmacy setting (essential).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive approach with a high level of accuracy.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and consider flexible working arrangements.
