About the role

Join the Pharmacy team at HMP Thameside, a Category B prison in Thamesmead, South East London. As a Pharmacy Technician you will deliver a safe, legal and high‑quality pharmaceutical service within a secure environment, working alongside a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the provision and delivery of an integrated prison pharmaceutical service while maintaining strict security standards.
• Hold direct patient contact as part of a comprehensive healthcare package tailored to prison service needs.
• Support medication dispensing, stock management and record keeping in line with NHS and prison regulations.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses and other health professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3, BTEC or equivalent qualification in pharmacy.
• Current CPD (Continuing Professional Development) registration.
• Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
