Photography Teacher – Secondary Schools (Portsmouth)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Photography Teacher to join a pool of educators for secondary schools in Portsmouth. The role starts in September 2026 (or sooner for the right candidate) and offers early access to permanent and long‑term teaching opportunities across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, practical photography lessons to KS3‑KS4 mixed‑ability learners.
• Teach related subjects such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Food Technology, or Engineering where relevant.
• Support the wider department and contribute positively to whole‑school life.
• Participate in school community activities and extracurricular programmes.

Required profile

• Qualified Photography Teacher (QTS or equivalent).
• Strong subject knowledge in one or more photography specialisms.
• Passion for inclusive, hands‑on teaching.
• Willingness to engage with the wider school community.
