PHP Laravel Developer – Guildford

About the role

We are looking for a passionate PHP Laravel Developer to join our growing development team in Guildford. You will work on innovative business applications and integrations that support multiple international operations, gaining exposure to modern development practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain business‑critical applications using PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs, and test them with tools such as Postman.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers to implement UI components using HTML, CSS and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Write efficient SQL queries for SQL Server or MySQL databases and optimise database performance.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews and continuous integration processes.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing applications.

Required profile

• Commercial experience in PHP development, preferably with Laravel or another MVC framework.
• Experience working with REST APIs and testing tools.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript (ES6+) or TypeScript.
• Hands‑on experience with SQL Server and/or MySQL.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and manage multiple priorities.
• A‑Level in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent commercial experience.
