About the role
As part of Ricardo’s Digital Services team within WSP, you will develop and maintain data‑intensive web applications that support environmental monitoring and emergency response solutions. The role offers the chance to see your code directly impact air‑quality, energy management and chemical‑emergency services worldwide.
Key responsibilities
- Enhance existing Symfony‑based applications and build new ones from the ground up.
- Work on real‑time data collection, processing, ratification and reporting systems.
- Lead smaller projects and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Ensure high‑quality, maintainable code and robust APIs.
Required profile
- Enjoys solving complex problems and writing clean, maintainable code.
- Well‑organized with a strong focus on delivering quality.
- Proactive team player who can lead development efforts.
Required skills
- Symfony 6.4 or 7.4 LTS, including component architecture and service container.
- PHP 8.x (including knowledge of PHP 8.4 features).
- Daily use of Jira and Confluence.
- Basic Linux knowledge and experience with Nginx or Apache.
- Front‑end fundamentals: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap.
