Physical Education Teacher (QTS) – Independent School

About the role

Prospero Teaching is partnering with an independent school in Salisbury to hire a dedicated Physical Education (PE) Teacher for a September start. You will join a supportive, well‑resourced environment where high standards and a broad curriculum are central.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons for KS3 and KS4.
• Support pupils’ physical development, participation, and wellbeing.
• Contribute to extracurricular sports and related activities.
• Assist with teaching or supporting other subject areas when required.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and student engagement.
• Collaborate with staff across departments and follow safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education.
• Confidence delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Willingness to support additional subject areas.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Flexible, proactive, and team‑focused approach.
• Passion for sport, education, and student development.
