Physician Associate – Renal & Pancreatic Transplant Surgery

About the role
The Physician Associate will join the Renal & Pancreatic Transplant Surgery Service at the Oxford Road site, delivering high‑quality patient care within a multidisciplinary team. This permanent, full‑time position is open to both newly qualified and experienced PAs who are registered with the GMC.
Key responsibilities
- Provide clinical assessment, diagnosis and management for patients undergoing renal and pancreatic transplantation.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Participate in weekly teaching sessions, CPD activities and preceptorship programmes.
- Complete required competencies in line with Faculty of Physician Associates recommendations.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- GMC‑registered Physician Associate (newly qualified or experienced).
- Commitment to full‑time (37.5 hours per week) work in a hospital setting.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing training and competency assessment.
