Physics Lecturer (Temporary)

About the role

Reed is recruiting experienced Physics Lecturers for temporary assignments with a range of well‑established Further Education providers across South East England. The role offers flexibility while allowing you to make a tangible impact on learners studying Physics at various levels.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality Physics lessons.
• Teach across a spectrum of abilities and programme levels.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress.
• Provide constructive feedback and academic support.
• Maintain accurate teaching records in line with college requirements.
• Foster an inclusive, safe learning environment, including practical labs.
• Contribute to learner achievement, retention and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Physics or a related scientific discipline.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Physics in Further Education, secondary schools or adult learning.
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
