Physics Teacher

About the role

A large secondary school in Northwood is seeking a dedicated Physics Teacher to join its successful Science department from September. This full‑time position offers a temporary‑to‑permanent pathway within a supportive school community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high‑quality Physics lessons that inspire curiosity and real‑world understanding.
• Plan and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students of all abilities.
• Facilitate practical investigations and interactive learning activities.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and raise attainment.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive and well‑managed classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop the Science department’s curriculum and initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A relevant degree in Physics or a closely related subject.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to motivate students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, approachable and enthusiastic attitude towards teaching.
