Physics Teacher – Temporary (One Term) – Maidstone

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Physics Teacher to join a well‑regarded independent school in the Maidstone area for the September 2026 term. The role starts as a one‑term temporary appointment with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils.
• Prepare students for examinations and support their academic progress.
• Maintain high standards of classroom management and assessment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop the science curriculum and contribute to whole‑school initiatives.
• Provide extra support and enrichment activities as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified Physics Teacher (QTS or equivalent) or demonstrable experience teaching Physics.
• Experience teaching across KS3 and KS4; KS5 experience is desirable.
• Passion for physics and ability to inspire students.
• Strong classroom management and commitment to high academic standards.
• Team‑player who contributes positively to the school community.
