Physiotherapy Inpatient Team Lead

About the role

Ramsay Health Care is seeking an experienced Physiotherapy Inpatient Team Lead to join the dynamic physiotherapy department at Springfield Hospital, Brentwood. The role involves leading the inpatient physiotherapy service, ensuring high‑quality patient care, and coordinating a seven‑day service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day management of the inpatient physiotherapy team and weekend roster.
• Deliver physiotherapy treatment, discharge planning, social‑care referrals and pre‑admission assessments.
• Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team, consultants and external partners.
• Maintain service coverage from 08:00‑18:00, Monday‑Friday, and weekends.
• Report to the Physiotherapy Manager and contribute to service improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• HCPC and CSP registration.
• Proven leadership experience in physiotherapy, including team and employee relations.
• Strong knowledge of orthopaedic physiotherapy, respiratory care and discharge planning.
• Ability to organise workload independently and work under pressure.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and familiarity with clinical audits and outcome tools.
• Understanding of CSP Standards of Physiotherapy Practice and CQC regulations.
