Planner / Scheduler – Residential Repairs

About the role

We are looking for a Planner / Scheduler to join our small, friendly team in Newton Abbot. You will help deliver residential repairs and minor refurbishment for Teign Housing, working to strict SLAs and KPIs in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process calls and emails to organise and book residential repairs and minor refurbishment works.
• Make outbound calls to residents to schedule essential compliance testing (gas, mechanical, electrical).
• Liaise continuously with residents and trade operatives to ensure optimal service delivery.
• Use our dynamic scheduling system to manage operative diaries, maximise utilisation and meet agreed timescales.
• Handle emergencies and exceptions, prioritising the most appropriate response.
• Act as the first point of contact for customers and trade teams, providing swift resolutions.
• Record accurate, up‑to‑date notes for each job/task in the system.

Required profile

• Experience in planning or scheduling within a construction or housing services environment.
• Strong ability to work to SLAs, KPIs and tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills with residents, trade operatives and internal teams.
• Detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities, including emergencies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with scheduling software or dynamic scheduling systems.
