Planning Consultant – Birmingham

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Planning Consultant to join a well‑established planning and land consultancy in Birmingham. You will work on a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, infrastructure and regeneration projects, providing planning advice from early concept through to determination.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage planning applications, appeals and supporting statements.
• Undertake site appraisals and deliver planning advice to clients.
• Engage with local authorities, statutory consultees and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to project strategy and ensure delivery within agreed timescales.
• Support senior colleagues on complex planning matters.

Required profile

• A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
• Working towards or holding MRTPI status.
• Experience in a planning consultancy or local‑authority role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage own workload and collaborate effectively within a team.
