Planning Engineer – Manufacturing (Temporary)

About the role

Join a leading automotive manufacturer as a Planning Engineer, supporting Bentley Motors' production programmes in Crewe. This temporary, full‑time position offers a hybrid work pattern and the chance to influence product assembly and process design across pre‑series and series production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed manufacturing plans that meet project feasibility requirements.
• Execute Quality Planning (APQP) activities throughout pre‑series and series builds.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve manufacturing and process challenges.
• Lead cost‑saving initiatives and manage associated budgets.
• Coordinate engineering change introductions in line with project schedules.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in product assembly and process design.
• Proven experience working cross‑functionally within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and problem‑solving.
