Planning Lawyer – Planning Obligations & Inquiries

About the role
The Planning Lawyer will provide specialist advice on planning obligations, including Business Need Grants (BNG), and will support and represent clients at planning inquiries. This full‑time, temporary position is based in Gloucester and works on a PAYE basis.
Key responsibilities
- Advise clients on planning obligations such as Section 106 contributions and BNG.
- Prepare and submit highway agreements, including Section 38 and Section 278 agreements.
- Represent and defend clients at planning inquiries related to county planning contributions.
- Support the preparation of documentation for planning inquiries and negotiations.
Required profile
- Proven experience in planning law, particularly with Section 106 obligations.
- Experience attending and supporting planning inquiries.
- Strong understanding of highway agreements and related statutory provisions.
- Ability to work independently and communicate legal arguments clearly.
